Evening QuiltingSignature String Star!

20180912_083809
I quilted up the Signature String Star quilt last night.

It took less time than it could have but more than it should have.

I dont know where my brain is these days (Well yes I do.) but I set the length and width of the quilt mistakenly 20.5 square instead of 30.5 square.

And that is a problem when digitally scaling a quilting pattern. The machine goes into end of row editing, thinking it has reached the end of the top, when it hasnt.

And I didn't want to pick out the whole top row and start over.

I figured it out I would watch until repeat number 5, a bit more than half-way across the quilt. Mark that ending as my new starting, and then run the pattern as if it was starting from the beginning again.

It might not be the easy way to do it, but if I changed the length, the scale size would also be changed slightly and Id be running over previous rows of stitching, or not get a pattern that nested like it should.
